Frequently asked questions about IP encoders and streamers
Which models support the SRT protocol?
According to the manufacturer’s published information: SHDE-400, HDE-276, DPE-275, HDE-275, HDE-275Q, HDE-265L, SDE-265, VDE-265, SHDE-4000, HDE-1265, HDE-4275Q, HDE-16265, SDE-16265, EMU-8500, EMU-9500. SRT is not in the protocol list of the HDE-264, ADE-264B and ADE-16264.
Which model for 4K streaming?
For an HDMI source the HDE-275 at 30 fps and the HDE-276 at 60 fps; the HDE-275Q for four HDMI sources; the DPE-275 for DisplayPort; the SHDE-400 or the 19-inch SHDE-4000 for 12G-SDI.
Can I stream to the internet and to the LAN at the same time?
Yes. On models with multiple streams one stream can go to the internet (for example with RTMP or SRT) and another to the LAN (for example with UDP/RTP multicast).
