DEKTEC and PROTEL
DEKTEC was founded in the Netherlands in 2000, started production in 2001 and entered Turkey with PROTEL in 2005. Since then more than 1,000 DEKTEC units have been put into service in Turkey, running with a failure rate close to zero.
DEKTEC’s approach is building blocks: the hardware brings the signal into the PC or sends it out, and the software analyses, plays, records or remultiplexes that signal. System integrators and equipment manufacturers use the same hardware in their own applications through the free DTAPI SDK.
DEKTEC products are used for:

Discontinued DEKTEC models
DEKTEC continues to support most discontinued products in its applications, SDK and drivers, and some are still available in limited quantities: DTE-3100, DTE-3120, DTE-3137, DTU-236A, DTU-238, DTM-3237, DTA-2107, DTA-2136, DTA-2138B, DTA-2139B, DTA-2144B, DTA-2152, DTA-2160, DTA-2162, DTA-2174, DTA-2179, DTA-2180 and others. Older models we are often asked about: the USB-2 modulator DTU-215 is no longer made; the current portable USB modulator is the USB-3 based DTU-315 (DTU-215 archive leaflet). Successors named by DEKTEC on its own pages: DTA-2152 → DTA-2172, DTA-2139B → DTA-2139C, DTM-3237 → DTM-3237B.

Can I write my own application with DEKTEC hardware?
Yes. DTAPI is the free SDK for using DEKTEC hardware from C++ under Windows and Linux. There is also Matrix API 2.0 for SDI processing, the AvFifo API for SMPTE 2110 and an FFmpeg integration.
