We supply singlemode and multimode fiber optic cable, from long-haul trunk cable to patch cords. We are the general distributor of Belden, Telegärtner and Datwyler in Turkey and can supply the complete range of all three without exception. PROTELFiBER is our own brand; we keep the common types in stock. Shipments leave from our Istanbul and Germany warehouses.
Cable cut to your length. Belden fiber optic cable comes on standard 1050, 2100 and 4200 m reels with long lead times. Datwyler cuts the cable to the length you specify and delivers it noticeably faster; a 225 m order is no problem. If you do not want part-used reels left over in your project, consider Datwyler.

Long-haul trunk cable
For backbone links between buildings, across a campus and across a city. Central loose tube and multi loose tube constructions, from 2 to 288 cores.
Construction

Fiber options

Where it is used: carrier backbones, campus networks, plant sites, CCTV networks, and carrying satellite and RF signals over fiber.
Lengths: Datwyler cuts the cable to the length you ask for — a 225 m order is possible. Belden supplies standard reel lengths (1050, 2100, 4200 m).
Breakout distribution cable
For riser and horizontal distribution inside a building. Each fiber has its own jacket, so the ends can be connectorised directly and a separate termination box may not be needed.
Construction
- Small bending radius, easier installation in tight trunking
- Halogen-free (LSZH) and flame-retardant sheath options
- Common types from 4 to 24 cores
Where it is used: inside data centres, office floor distribution, LAN backbone, in-building CCTV and automation networks.
Datwyler also cuts this group to length; Belden supplies standard reel lengths. If your specification calls for a particular CPR fire class (for example Dca or B2ca), state it in the quote request — the cable type changes with the class.
Patch cord
Flexible pre-terminated assemblies for links inside the rack and between equipment. We build PROTELFiBER patch cords to order the way Telegärtner does, and because production is in Turkey the lead time is far shorter.

IRENIS — MPO/MTP patch cords
We bring in the high-density MPO and MTP assemblies used in data centres from IRENIS to order. A minimum order quantity applies and the lead time is 3–6 weeks.
Choosing a fiber optic cable
Singlemode or multimode?
For any distance beyond 100 m, choose singlemode (OS2, G.652.D). Multimode (OM3/OM4) only makes sense over short in-building runs or when you are extending an existing multimode plant. The singlemode cable itself is not more expensive; the difference is on the active equipment side.
How many cores should I buy?
At least twice what you use today. Pulling labour costs more than the cable itself, and adding cores later means pulling new cable. Four times is a common choice on backbone routes.
Indoor or outdoor?
Outdoors, UV resistance and a moisture barrier are essential. If the cable enters the building and continues inside, there are two options: terminate at the entry and change to LSZH cable, or use universal (indoor/outdoor) cable from the start. Fire regulations usually decide the second case.
When is armoured cable needed?
On routes with rodent risk, for direct burial, and in industrial areas where crushing is a risk. Steel armour makes the cable heavier and increases the bending radius; check tight routes before you order.
What length should I order?
Add termination allowances to the route length. Because Datwyler cuts to length you do not have to buy more cable than you need; with Belden the standard reel lengths apply and the remainder stays on the project.
Which manufacturer should I choose?
For rack patch cords and fast delivery, PROTELFiBER — 1–5 working days. For field cable where length flexibility and a short lead time matter, Datwyler. For breakout distribution cable, Telegärtner made-to-order production is strong. If a specific Belden part number is in the specification, Belden. For data centre MPO/MTP, IRENIS. Frequently asked questions
Can I order a short length such as 225 m?
Yes. Datwyler cable is cut to the length you specify, so you are not tied to a standard reel. With Belden the standard reel lengths of 1050, 2100 and 4200 m apply.
What is the lead time?
PROTELFiBER 1–5 working days, including stock winding and made-to-order patch cords. Datwyler under 3 weeks. Telegärtner made-to-order 4–6 weeks, Belden 4–8 weeks. IRENIS MPO/MTP patch cords 3–6 weeks. The exact time depends on the product and quantity; we state it in the quote.
Should I buy singlemode or multimode?
Singlemode (OS2) for distances beyond 100 m. Multimode is preferred only for short in-building runs or when extending an existing multimode plant.
I do not know the part number. Can I still get a quote?
Yes. Send the route length, whether it is indoor or outdoor, your estimated core count and any fire class requirement; we will recommend a suitable cable and explain why.
Can the cable be delivered with connectors fitted?
We build PROTELFiBER patch cords to order in the length and connector combination you need; LC, SC, ST and FC are available and delivery is 1–5 working days. MPO/MTP assemblies come from IRENIS to order (MOQ applies, 3–6 weeks). Field cable is normally terminated during installation.
