Datwyler fiber optic cable
Datwyler Fiber Optic Cable
As Datwyler IT Infra’s stocking distributor for Turkey we supply their full fiber optic cable range. There are three families: indoor, universal (indoor-outdoor) and outdoor. What sets Datwyler apart is that it cuts the cable to the length you ask for and states the Euroclass fire rating (Fca–B2ca) per product.
- Indoor
- Universal
- Outdoor
- Micro cable
- Armored
- E30 safety
- Euroclass B2ca
Datwyler cuts the cable to any length you give between 100 m and 8000 m and delivers it in one piece on a single drum, so no part-used drum is left over on your project. To compare the same cable against Belden, see our Belden fiber optic cable page .

Datwyler part codes read easily: a leading Z means central tube, wb water-blocked, GGT/GGFR metal-free reinforcement, KWT steel armor, HP high performance, BL Basic Line. The DIN code next to it (A-DQ(ZN)B2Y, for example) is the standard designation used in specifications.
Indoor cables
From inside the cabinet to the building backbone. All have a halogen-free (LS0H / FRNC) jacket; the Euroclass rating varies by product, so if your specification states one, say so with your enquiry.

Slim cables for fiber to the apartment. The DLT version is metal-free with dry loose tubes up to 4 fibers; the STB version is 2.8 mm semi-tight buffer.
Fire: Euroclass Dca, Cca and B2ca options — B2ca is asked for in crowded buildings
Where: distribution inside housing and hotels, from the floor box to the apartment entrance
Code: FTTH DLT (Cca, B2ca) · FTTH STB (Dca)
1 ≤12 fibers · 2 Loose tube · 3 Reinforcing helix · 4 Glass armor · 5 Ripcord · 6 FR/LS0H sheath
Building backbone cables
J-B(ZN)BH · ZGGFR / SZGGFR
Metal-free backbone cables with dry interstices and dry loose tubes. ZGGFR up to 12 fibers, SZGGFR up to 144 fibers.
Fire: FRNC/LS0H sheath · Euroclass Dca, Cca, B2ca
Where: vertical shafts, floor distribution, backbone inside the data center
Code: ZGGFR (≤12 fibers) · SZGGFR (≤144 fibers)
Universal cables
Cables that can be pulled indoors and outdoors in one continuous run. Instead of terminating the incoming line at the building entry and changing to another cable, you carry on in one piece — one splice point and one box fewer.
1 ≤12 fibers · 2 Loose tube · 3 Swelling tape · 4 Glass armor · 5 Ripcord · 6 FR/LS0H sheath
Universal GGFR
U-DQ(ZN)BH
Metal-free, dry interstices, rodent protected. ZGGFR has a central tube for up to 24 fibers; wbGGFR is water-blocked for up to 144 fibers.
Fire: Euroclass Dca (ZGGFR) and Eca (wbGGFR)
Where: building-to-building links on campus, continuous run from outdoors into the building backbone
Code: ZGGFR (≤24 fibers, Dca) · wbGGFR (≤144 fibers, Eca)
1 ≤24 fibers · 2 Loose tube · 3 Swelling tape · 4 Glass armor · 5 Ripcord · 6 FR/LS0H sheath (black)
Easy Blow
U-DQ(ZN)BH · optimized for blowing
A fire-resistant universal cable optimized to be blown into micro duct with compressed air. The ZGGFR version goes up to 24 fibers, the wbGGFR version up to 288.
Advantage: blowing into existing duct instead of digging — it saves permits and time inside a city
Where: micro duct networks, dense city routes
Code: ZGGFR Easy Blow (≤24) · wbGGFR Easy Blow (≤288)
1 ≤12 fibers · 2 Flame retardant protective coating · 3 Glass armor · 4 Ripcord · 5 FR/LS0H sheath
Safety E30 and Combi
U-DQ(ZN)BH · U-DQS(ZN)BH
Safety E30: a safety cable that keeps working for 30 minutes during a fire; ZGGFR up to 12 fibers, wbGGFR up to 60. Water resistant, metal-free, rodent protected.
Combi: carries three stranded copper conductors alongside the fiber — remote power is solved from the same cable.
Where: evacuation and fire systems, tunnels, metro, powering cameras and access points
Code: ZGGFR Safety (≤12) · wbGGFR Safety (≤60) · wbGGFR Combi
Outdoor cables
Duct, direct burial, aerial routes and micro duct. All are Euroclass Fca; if an outdoor cable is to continue inside the building, terminate it at the entry or change to a universal cable.
1 ≤24 fibers · 2 Loose tube · 3 Swelling tape · 4 Glass armor · 5 Ripcord · 6 HDPE sheath
GGT family
A-DQ(ZN)B2Y · central tube
Metal-free central-tube outdoor cable with dry interstices. HighP (high tensile strength), Basic Line (economical), City (two-layer metal-free) and SMALL (slim diameter) versions are available.
Where: campus backbone, pulling into duct, telecom and cable TV networks
Code: ZGGT HP · wbGGT HP · wbGGT HP City · wbGGT SMALL · ZGGT BL · wbGGT BL

KWT armored family
A-DQ(ZN)(SR)2Y · steel armor
Outdoor cable with corrugated steel armor. Preferred where rodent and crush risk is high and for direct burial. The armor makes the cable heavier and increases the bend radius, so check the route first in narrow ducts.
Where: industrial sites, crossings through farmland, direct burial
Code: ZwbKWT BL · wbKWT HP · wbKT HP
1 ≤12 fibers · 2 Loose tube · 3 Aramid yarn · 4 Ripcord · 5 HDPE sheath
Micro cable family
A-DQ(ZN)2Y · A-D2Y
Slim cables designed to be blown into micro duct. S-Micro up to 576 fibers, C-Micro up to 576, Micro up to 144; the Micro Combi version also carries copper conductors.
Advantage: more fibers in the same duct; added capacity without digging
Where: city micro duct networks, carrier backbones, FTTx distribution
Code: wbKT C-Micro · ZT S-Micro · wbKT S-Micro · ZKT S-Micro BL · wbKT S-Micro BL · wbKT C-Micro BL · ZKT Micro · wbKT Micro · wbKT Micro Combi
Euroclass fire ratings (CPR)
| Class | What it means | Where it is typically asked for |
|---|---|---|
| B2ca | The highest practical class; very limited heat contribution and smoke | Hospitals, metro, airports, high-rise buildings, escape routes |
| Cca | Limited fire propagation | Public buildings, hotels, shopping centers |
| Dca | Medium contribution | Office buildings, general indoor cabling |
| Eca | Basic flame propagation test | Technical rooms, low-risk areas |
| Fca | Not classified | Outdoor; lines that do not enter the building |
| E30 | Keeps working for 30 minutes in a fire | Fire detection, evacuation announcement, tunnel safety |
The Euroclass rating describes how much a cable contributes to a fire; E30 describes whether it keeps working during one. They are different things and a specification may ask for both. In Datwyler’s indoor and universal families the Dca, Cca and B2ca versions of the same cable are separate part numbers — state the class from your specification in the enquiry and we will pick the right code.

We are the general distributor for both, so we take no side: if the specification names a part number, we supply that manufacturer. If it does not, we suggest Datwyler for short lengths and fast delivery, and Belden for special constructions (hybrid, camera, high core count). On our fiber optic cable page we compare all four, PROTELFIBER and Telegärtner included.
