NASCENTechnology: LTCC transformers and inductors
NASCENTechnology (Watertown, South Dakota, USA) makes transformers and inductors in low temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC). The coil windings are embedded in a single solid ceramic body; according to the manufacturer’s published information the products can be used at up to 300 °C, withstand extreme shock, vibration and thermal cycling and are less than half the size of traditional wire-wound transformers.
Fields of use: defence, aerospace, oil drilling, geothermal, medical and other applications that demand high reliability.
