Quick selection: KNX cable by project requirement
The jacket material and the CPR class written in the specification usually decide the code.
| Belden code | Construction | Typical choice when | Quote |
|---|---|---|---|
| YE00820 | 2 pairs, PVC jacket, Eca | Standard indoor KNX lines | Request a quote |
| YE00906 | 2 pairs, LSZH jacket, Eca | A halogen-free jacket is specified | Request a quote |
| 77906ELW | 2 pairs, LSZH, Cca | The project asks for CPR class Cca | Request a quote |
| 77906ELV | 2 pairs, LSZH, B2ca | The project asks for CPR class B2ca | Request a quote |

Not sure which class applies? Send us the relevant line of the specification and we will match the Belden code.
All Belden KNX cable codes
The complete KNX range listed by Belden. All types have 0.8 mm solid bare copper conductors and an overall Beldfoil shield.
Choosing a KNX cable
KNX is the open standard for home and building control: lighting, blinds, heating, ventilation and energy management share one bus line.
One pair or two?
The bus itself uses one pair. Two-pair cable gives a second pair that installers keep as a spare or use for an auxiliary supply.
Which CPR class?
CPR classes rate how a cable reacts to fire. Belden lists KNX cables in Eca, Cca and B2ca. The class is set by the building regulations and the project specification, so take it from there.
PVC or LSZH?
LSZH jackets are low-smoke and halogen-free and are commonly required in public buildings. PVC is used where no such requirement exists.

Frequently asked questions
Which Belden cable is used for KNX?
Belden lists nine KNX-certified codes. The usual starting point is YE00820 (2 pairs, PVC) or YE00906 (2 pairs, LSZH); higher CPR classes are covered by 77906ELW and 77906ELV.
Is there a halogen-free KNX cable?
Yes. YE00905, YE00906 and the 77905 and 77906 types have an LSZH jacket.
Is there a KNX cable for outdoor or buried runs?
Belden lists 77906E2S, a 2-pair type with steel wire armour and a PE outer jacket. Send us the installation conditions and we will check the datasheet with you.
Do I have to buy a full reel?
No. We supply cut lengths. The part number and the total length are enough.
