Frequently asked questions about signal generators
What is the difference between a function generator and an arbitrary waveform generator?
A function generator produces standard waveforms such as sine, square and triangle. An arbitrary generator also produces waveforms defined by the user.
Where is an RF signal generator used?
As a signal source of known frequency and level for testing receivers, filters, amplifiers and antenna systems.
