PVC or XLPO/TPE?
The 13xx series are standard industrial cables with a PVC jacket. The 21xx series has cross-linked polyolefin insulation and a TPE jacket, made for harsher field conditions.
600 V tray-rated Foundation Fieldbus cables
TC and TC-ER rated types are used where the communication cable shares a tray with power cables. Choose codes ending in T or Z where a halogen-free jacket is required.
Foundation Fieldbus cable for PROFIBUS PA

What is Foundation Fieldbus cable?
Foundation Fieldbus is the digital field network used in process automation. Its cable is a shielded twisted pair that carries both data and power to field devices.
What is the difference between Type A and Type B Foundation Fieldbus cable?
Type A is 18 AWG and is the standard cable that allows the longest distance. Type B is 22 AWG; it is slimmer and used on shorter lines.
When is multi-pair Foundation Fieldbus cable used?
When several segments run from a junction box to the control room. As each pair is individually shielded, segments do not affect each other.
Can Foundation Fieldbus cable be used for PROFIBUS PA?
Yes. 18 AWG Type A Foundation Fieldbus cables are also suitable for PROFIBUS PA lines.
Do I have to buy a full reel?
No. We supply cut lengths. The part number and the total length are enough.
